Education is an excellent tool for bringing about behavioral change in life. It helps the learner to understand his existence in relation with the environment he lives in. It helps him to develop his personality in an individualistic manner and yet to be in harmony with the nature. It helps him to further his relationship with individuals family, society and the nation. The quality of life characterized by honesty integrity, love and service will have to find a prominent place in the development of the learner through the content, methodology and experiments. The learning should provide him with such experiences which would help him to build an objective assessment of situations and to gain an emotional balance in execution of his work. It is rightly said , “The children are the foundations of the future of any country.”

     Keeping in pace with time, National School for the Handicapped was formed with a vision to enhance the standard and quality of special education & rehabilitation for the betterment and upliftment of Persons with Disabilities in the country. Our activism is grounded in a firm belief in meliorism, fully conscious that a bit of ours could go a long way in creating a better world where all types of children ( fortunate & less-fortunate ) form a coherent part of the society rater than a liability.

      We are working on integrated/inclusive set-up which challenges educators to look beyond mainstreaming to find inclusive strategies to meet student’s individual needs. We have a vision of cost effective extension and promotion of quality education to reach the unreached and visualize omnipresent education using emerging communication technologies. Our mission focuses on sustainable, effective and dynamic system of education. We believe in learner friendly, community based system of quality education. We dream of building a barrier free environment for able and less-abled, by an enlightened quality education system by garnering social engineering. We are also working on parent-sensitization program which aims to educate the parents of children with disabilities so that the children can get proper education at initial stages. We also envisage bridging the gap between the society and the Persons with Disabilities for their proper rehabilitation.

     We have also attended many national and international seminars/workshops and presented our papers on various themes/topics.

     For the effective and purposeful functioning of the school we are always ready to receive valuable inputs from various quarters and professionals. The school is equipped with latest mechanical devices and equipment and have qualified faculty/personnel/professionals at the helm of the affairs.
